  13. Ouch! I'm learning about re-testing things that I think are working!
  14. I had two variables swapped so that you couldn't enter any new data.
  15. An embarrassing error!

  17. I also fixed a problem with changing the date of a service record.

  26. I have fixed "bugs" in the billing and added the ability to re-print
  27. billings which have already been printed & flag "billed".  It can be
  28. thought of as "Automatic" billing and "Manual" billing:  Automatic
  29. prints only what has not yet been billed; Manual prints everything on
  30. file within a range of dates you supply.

  32. I also fixed a billing bug which made it re-print old items when you
  33. entered new data.  oops!

  38. If you are using 2.2f then RE-INDEX YOUR FILES and your parts
  39. information will show up again (the data just got lost in the index).

  41. I have implemented B-Tree file indexing to speed file access.  Although
  42. it offers FANTASTICALLY IMPROVED PERFORMANCE, this has been a major
  43. overhaul to the software, so I know there will be some bugs hanging
  44. around. Let me know if you have any problems - even if you think that
  45. you are the one doing something wrong, it might be a bug. I'll get the
  46. updates out as quickly as I can.  Registered users will receive version
  47. 2.3 free through the mail as soon as it is ready.

  50. 2/15/93 CONVERTING FILES TO VERSION 2.2

  52. I have changed the file structures slightly, so version 2.2 of WVH
  53. includes a conversion programme, CONVERT.EXE.
  54.  
  55. If you have been using a version prior to 2.2 (version # is on the
  56. Help/About screen) you must use CONVERT.  CONVERT is automatic ── Just
  57. run it by typing "CONVERT" and when prompted answer "Y" to continue, and
  58. your files will be converted.  That's it.  Your old files will be saved
  59. with the extension ".OLD", just in case anything goes wrong.

  66.     Here's where WVH is headed:

  68.     I will be adding a new field for number of hours to compliment the
  69. mileage field for big rigs and other equipment which is tracked by
  70. number of hours rather than miles.
  71.  
  72.     I want to add the "smarts" to WVH so it can figure out the average
  73. number of miles or hours a vehicle is used every week, month, etc. so
  74. that it can predict when, for example, a 10,000 mile tune-up would be
  75. likely to occur.  Once I get this working I can have WVH do automatic
  76. scheduling such as, "Oil change every 5000 miles", etc.

  78.     Expanded help, including context-sensitive help is being added to
  79. all screens so when you want more information about something you can
  80. press the F1/Help key.  Mouse support is also finding its way slowly
  81. into all of the screens.

  102.     The above files may be copied & shared freely as a complete, unmodified
  103. set. Files marked with [*] are not needed during operation of WVH and may be
  104. deleted from a disk if space is a premium, however, please include _all_ of
  105. the files in copies of WVH you distribute.  If you use INSTALL it will
  106. remove some of the unneeded files.  I would appreciate it if you would keep
  107. the ORDER.FRM file handy on your disk until you decide whether WVH suits
  108. your needs.
